Situated in the most eatern part of the Axarquía, 50 kms from Málaga and on the border of the provence of Granada, Nerja is to be found. A farming and fishing village with Arabic roots, its name comes from the Arabic 'Naricha' (abundant spring) and it enjoys a privileged climate and fantastic landscape surroundings, where it alternates between spectacular cliffs and golden beaches.
Its gastronomy is typical Mediterranean in which dishes such as cod with honey omelet, migas and fresh local fish stand out.
